Teachers have to provide children with activities that will enhance their developmental learning skills. Meeting standards that will help children achieve the age appropriate practices. Know what they can and can not do and build on they way they learn from each other. Teachers want to promote growth and development by providing a variety of material and lesson plans.
Artifact ECD:133 I had the children using literacy and mathematics to make a sandwich. The child looks at the colors or the size of the picture and compares it to what they see on the table. Then they pick them up and put them in the order as seen on the menu. I built on to their knowledge by counting with them and making sure they knew that the number beside each ingredient meant how many we needed of that kind.
